E&S Management for Insurance service providers

There are currently no standard E&S management procedures (best practices) for insurances available. Some insurances conduct some level of E&S due diligence, however, this is not necessarily highly formalized. Even the internationally recognized Principles for Sustainable Insurances (PSI) only set out a rather general framework. Recently, UNEP FI has prepared an “ESG guide for the global insurance industry developed by UN Environment’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance Initiative”, which is currently under discussion.
The present course gives a detailed introduction to E&S risks faced by insurance companies, suggest how to implement the UNEP “Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI)”, provides for good implementation practices and guidance per insurance product offered, suggests tools and presents relevant case studies
